Invisible, Tangible
Our universe began with a big bang, and we know nothing about what the world was like before that.
To this day, humans still know very little about the complex conversion formulas between energies, but in any case, we have reached a consensus that energy often transforms freely between invisible and tangible things.
The ancients did not have precise scientific instruments, but they used their human wisdom to observe this phenomenon and precipitated it into philosophical thinking. The Jonang School of Tibetan Buddhism are based on this foundation.
There’s no specific image, but are born from the vibration of energy, the state of life depends on its consciousness.
Jonang, this outstanding craft brand is named after The Jonang – a famous school of Indo-Tibetan Buddhism. Its origins in Tibet can be traced to the early 12th century. The Jonang school’s main practice is the Kālacakra tantra (Wheel of Time Tantra), and they are widely known for their defense of the philosophy known as shentong (“empty of other”).
The philosophy of the Jonang school and its related religious rituals are now mainly spread in Aba County, a predominantly Tibetan-populated area in western Sichuan Province, which is also the source of Jonang’s inspiration. In Aba County, Jonang has applied for three intangible cultural heritage protection projects: Thangka, Mandala, and Tibetan Incense. It uses Tibetan secret recipes that have been passed down for thousands of years to make tools that help us perform spiritual rituals.
As a bridge connecting tradition and modern life, Jonang makes excellent products to help modern people start the daily ritual of body, mind and soul. When we enter the depths of our spirit, like sowing a seed of subconscious, thus affecting the reality and aura we are in.
Jonang is committed to inheriting and protecting the national intangible cultural heritage and constantly helping the dwellers in western Sichuan to build a wonderful homeland. In the process of making products, local medicinal herbs and plant essences are incorporated, which allows this distinctive community culture to be preserved in an intangible form and become a unique landscape in our spiritual world.
